CONET 2008 will be held in conjunction with the Fifth International Conference on Broadband Communications, Networks, and Systems (BROADNETS 2008) on September 8th ~ 11th, 2008, in London, UK. http://www.broadnets.org/2008/

In recent years, we have witnessed researches on cooperative wireless communications and networking, e.g. in wireless ad hoc, mesh networks, wireless sensor networks, cognitive radio and 3G/4G. Cooperative wireless communications and networking has emerged as a promising technology to achieve higher system performance by sharing resources among wireless terminals. Through cooperation on physical, MAC, network and application layers, the wireless network can achieve lower bit-error rate, higher throughput, more efficient energy utilization, and higher network reliability, etc.

The 2nd International Workshop on Cooperative Wireless Communications and Networking (CONET 2008) covers the area of cooperative wireless communications and networking. It will bring together researchers to present new results and describe work in progress at all layers of the protocol stack, to reflect the latest advances in the state of the art in design, modeling, simulation, and applications of cooperative wireless communications and networking.
