Errata:
"Improving I/O Performance of Multimedia Servers"

The word asynchronously is used somewhat wrong. What is meant is that the clients request the data at another time than it is generated and stored in the server.

Section 3.1.1.1, page 14, last paragraph:

"..., and as tha number of disks increases, the mean time to disk failure also decreases."

Correction:    increases    -->    decreases

Section 3.1.1.1, page 14, last paragraph:

"If a disk has a probability of p to failure, an n-disk disk array system has a probability 1 - (1 - p)ⁿ of failure using the same disks."

Correction:    n x p    -->    1 - (1 - p)ⁿ
