Diplopodus
The Scientific Software
Group at the Department of Informatics, is building a cluster
of linux-based computers for numerical computations. The cluster is
build according to the beowulf
philosofy, i.e. we assemble COTS (Commodity Of The Shelf)
computers, and connect them through an 100Mbit/s switch. By using
TCP/IP communication on this direct network, we get a fairly
powerful multiprocessor computer.
